Susie (Henry) Peterson Susie and her husband, John Let's see - to put a whole lot a years in a brief summary... After my brief time in the spotlight with the Notorious Noblemen, I moved to Colorado and worked for a while just being footloose and fancy free. Then moved on to California and never looked back. Sang with a group based out of Las Vegas - a revue - for a couple of years. When the show ended I decided to get out of the business-tired of traveling etc, so off I went to corporate America. Got a job with Automobile Club of Southern California in the claims division and have been with them for 20 years, climbing that proverbial corporate ladder. I was recently appointed to manage the claims business unit of a new member service call center. I went from managing 20 people to 78 people so suffice it to say I have my hands full. But I love the challenge, never a dull moment. The money is great and lots of vacation time, allowing us to travel quite a bit.
I am one of the lucky ones in that I have a marriage made in heaven-15 years, with 2 step-daughters, both grown and gone several years ago so nothing to tie us down for the last several years. I beat the stress of the job on the golf course for which I must boast of 2 hole in one trophies. (no living with my husband for a while afterwards as he has never had one), and we're avid theatre goers. In a nut shell, life has thankfully been "beddy, beddy good to me."
Oh, those fond memories of riding to gigs on the engine cover in the van (sore buns) or in Mac's Camaro with either incense or roaches smoldering in the center console ashtray, playing the gyms, roller rinks, ballrooms (that was a real treat!), practices, dining at "le greasy spoon" after gigs, lugging equipment up 3 flights of stairs at some high school, crashing at Joe's house and watching Big stress out over bookings-paying him his commission and his giving us change from the "money changer" hanging off his belt. So... Have a bloody good time in Okoboji! - I must say that even if I could have made it, I have not used the ole vocal chords that much in the past years, so it may have been a disasto!! At any rate, my bestest best to everyone. This has brought back some great memories. Knock em dead!
