The Jaggs were a Storm Lake, IA band that
mainly played only summer gigs. This was my second band which I
joined right after I was with The Galaxies. I have no photos of this
band but may be able to locate one of the other members to find one.
This was the summer of 1966 which was between my freshman and
sophomore years in high school. Being on the road with this band on
weekends gave me the freedom to no longer attend Catholic mass on
Sundays. Of course, after a while my parents found out, but I was
gone forever. I figured if I got this far without being struck by
lightening, I was probably not going to hell for missing mass. If
something bad was going to happen I think the big sheriff in the sky
would take his revenge on me immediately, rather than wait to send
me to hell after I died.
